RGV lodges complaint on BJP

Controversy’s favourite child Ram Gopal Varma is in news again after he announced that he will sign the Kannada actress Maria Susairaj, who has been recently convicted in the Neeraj Grover murder case, in his next project. Political parties in Maharashtra protested on his decision to cast Maria in his movie.
A few parties even held a demonstration outside his office in Mumbai. Varma went to the Police station and filed a complaint on BJP. Ramu has decided to seek judicial and police intervention following telephone threats to him by BJP Yuva Morcha on casting Maria in his film.
“I’m on my way to Versova Police station to lodge a complaint against BJP Yuva Morcha President who threatened me of dire consequences,” RGV tweeted.
He also claimed that amongst all the parties which are protesting his decision to cast Maria in the film, none of them know anything about the case.
On Maria, the filmmaker also said, “If sm1 hs bn convicted nd the person servd a gvn sentence she has a right to start her life afresh nd thts a part of civilized society”. But he clarified that he is not supporting her and quoted, “Maria is nt my sister or my girl friend nd I don’t evn knw her…so its nt about supporting her but its about standing fr my beliefs.”
